The challenge

Stonegate Pubs needed a new solution to a perennial problem: attracting people into their local in January, when most people are short of cash and/or abstaining from alcohol. Was there a better solution than just giving free drinks away?

The approach

At TrunkBBI we had a darts game format that had already hit the bullseye for another client. Could it be quickly repurposed for Stonegate? It could. The cunning use of a QR code meant customers could only play the game and win the prizes by being in the pub. Inn It To Win It was up and running.

The results

With 4,340 unique users, the game arrowed straight to its target. Even more importantly, there were 17,830 scans during the promotional period: proof that the game drove an average of four repeat visits per user during January.
