The challenge
The UK’s largest pub company, Greene King, needed an engaging and innovative creative solution to drive bookings and maximise sales during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, cutting through the noise during the busy festive period.
The approach
Indulgence and drama. These two words defined the World Cup experience. Unlike previous tournaments, we saw a healthy dollop of Christmas spirit and dusting of decadence served on the side of international football. It was a feast for the senses. Our gamification solution focussed on driving pre-bookings, giving Greene King establishments the ability to plan footfall better. For the customer, the solution was fully integrated into their existing loyalty app, and the Monopoly-style board opened up opportunities for instant prize wins.

The results
Greene King reported a four year high on sport sales through the Season Ticket loyalty app, which was an impressive feat given the effect the pandemic and the cost of living crisis has had in the sector. The game had over 320,900 plays across 39,450 unique users
