I first worked with Adam, Trunk’s Creative Director, many years ago in a big call centre. Phoning 250 people a day with timed toilet breaks is no fun, and I’m sure Adam is as happy as me that those days are long gone!
We went our separate ways but kept in touch, and a few years later Adam mentioned an Account Manager position at Trunk. I couldn’t turn down the chance to be involved with what’s happening here.
My first day was like Christmas. I walked in to see my new desk filled with presents, including a Macbook Air, Sailor Jerry’s rum and lots of sweets. Needless to say, this was the warmest welcome I’ve ever received at a new job, a sign that I’ve made the right career move.
After meeting the very welcoming team (and checking out the pool tables in the break out area) I went through the usual HR procedures and training, went out for a delicious venison burger and got stuck in.
On my second day we went to a shoot with an existing client in Blackburn. It was a thought-provoking insight into the video process and my first experience of the Trunk team in action.
I spent the next few days arranging meetings with Manchester agencies at our new second home – Pie & Ale in the Northern Quarter. I can’t recommend it enough!
