Last week, Trunk and Big Brand Ideas celebrated their win of CIPR’s ‘Mark of Excellence’ for Best Use of Social Media!
The award was for our campaign with Nextbase called ‘Bad Drivers’, a mockumentary which highlights the different types of terrible drivers on the road. If you haven’t watched the videos, you can check them out here.
The campaign aimed to capture a younger audience, so together with Big Brand Ideas, we devised a highly-targeted amplification strategy. We made use of influencers to bring humour to the videos, knowing they would appeal more to the intended demographic. This also meant the videos got shared on their channels too and reached a wider audience.
The videos were really popular and reached over 2 million people. With 125,000 engagements on Facebook, almost doubling their page likes and upping their website visits by 257%, the campaign really took off! This was a great win for us as it was our first TV campaign back when we started and a lot of hard work and effort went into it.
