Today, the Two + Two event is taking place at Federation in Manchester and it is being attended by students from six different Universities. From Creative, Marketing and Technical courses, these students will be working on a brief about loneliness. There are around 25 different agencies involved who will mentor the teams across the day, and Trunk is being represented by our Creative Director, Nick Entwistle.
Nick is there speaking to the 150 students, giving advice and helping them get their brains warmed up at the start of the day with some One Minute Briefs! He’ll also be showing the video he made about loneliness amongst elderly people; the video was made for kindess.org and you can check it out here. If you haven’t seen it before, the hard-hitting video highlights how many people are dying of loneliness. The campaign encourages people to ask questions to an Elder via email so that they not only receive some wisdom, but they keep an older person company at the same time.
He’ll also be there to give the students some insight and help on idea generation, and then will be part of the judging panel who decides the winner of the day’s brief at the end of the day.
Many people are involved in the day including the Co-op whose main CSR projects in 2018 is tackling loneliness in young people. Other possible involvements include the BBC, Channel 4 and the Jo Cox Commission.
